Islanders Set a Franchise High in Shots

Under one hour ago, the New York Islanders Won against the Ottawa Senators after being behind by two goals twice. In the first period, Ottawa scored twice in the last 1:22. The first Ottawa Goal was scored by Erik Condra 18:38 into the period and the second Ottawa Goal was scored by Mika Zibanejad with 19.8 seconds left in the period. In the second period the Islanders scored twice, and then Ottawa scored twice. The Islanders first goal was scored by John Tavares, and then Matt Martin scored a tip-in goal. After, Ottawa's Bobby Ryan scired 12:34 into the 2nd period, then Ottawa's Clark MacArthur scored with 14:47 into the 2nd period. After the Senators' scored twice, the Islanders' Pierce-Marc Bouchard scored 18:24 into the 3rd period.  The Islanders' Frans Nielsen Scored with 3:14 into the 3rd Period. There were no goals scored in OT. The game went to a shootout and the only player to score was Frans Nielsen. Senators' Goalie, Robin Lehner saved 53 out of 57 shots. Today was the third time this season that the Senators let over 50 shots in one game. The New York Islanders' Goalie was Evgeni Nabokov.
