Breakaway
The picture above shows a clear breakaway. A breakaway is when that player has nobody in between themself and the goaltender. A breakaway is a key part of a Penalty Shot. For a player to recive a penalty shot that player must of:

1. Must of been passed the blue line they are defending
2. Been denied a reasonable scoring chance
3. The player who penatilized the player on the breakaway must of been behind or to the side
4. Have complete control over the puck
5. There can't be any defenders in between the player with puck and the goalie
